Two Employees of Kiddie Academy in Rancho Cucamonga Arrested for Child Abuse

LOCATION: Kiddie Academy, 7220 Victoria Park Ln, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91739
SUSPECT(S): Rudie Megan Maldonado, 29-year-old San Bernardino resident
Felicia Ann Ferra, 50-year-old Yorba Linda resident
VICTIM(S): 8-month-old male
SUMMARY: On Saturday, September 4, 2021, The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Specialized Investigations Division, Crimes Against Children Detail responded to the Loma Linda University Medical Center (LLUMC) Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) reference allegations of physical abuse to a eight-month-old-male with a skull fracture. The eight-month-old male attended the Kiddie Academy in Rancho Cucamonga.
At the conclusion of the investigation, Rudie Megan Maldonado and Felicia Ann Ferra were arrested for conspiring to conceal the victim's injuries and neglect of the victim's well-being. Maldonado was arrested under PC 273a(a) child abuse and PC 182(a)(1) conspiracy and was booked at Central Detention Center in San Bernardino. Her bail was set at $100,000 and she bailed out. After an arrest warrant was issued for Ferra, she turned herself in at West Valley Detention Center and was booked under PC 182(a)(1) conspiracy and PC273a(a) child abuse.
