Advisory remains in effect. STAY OFF THE BEACH. First wave, which arrived @ 8:45 am, is typically NOT LARGEST in tsunami event. Wave events can last for over three hours following initial wave. Waves can run up the beach, just like sneaker waves, and these events can last for over three hours following the initial wave.

Be advised that high tide follows this event at 10:07 am. Please remain away from Seaside Beaches until further notice. Information will continue to be posted until event is cancelled. Advise to shelter in place, especially in low-lying areas.

Additional messaging will follow as needed.
