Tsunami Advisory remains in effect

Tsunami Advisory remains in effect. City of Seaside Operations Center is standing down. Stay vigilant and safe, especially around driftwood and ocean debris.  

Previous sneaker wave warnings remain in place until 12:00 am on Sunday, January 16. Waves can run up significantly farther on a beach than normal, including over rocks and jetties. Sneaker waves can suddenly knock people off their feet and quickly pull them into the frigid ocean which may lead to serious injury or drowning.

Instructions:

Stay vigilant and safe, especially around driftwood and ocean debris.
