The City of Somersworth has declared an emergency parking ban; no on-street parking will be allowed beginning at:
City Wide:
· 12:00-Midnight , January 17, 2022 and ending at 9:00am on Monday , January 17, 2022.
Downtown:
· ,12:00-Midnight January 17, 2022 and ending at 8:00am on Monday , January 17, 2022.
The Downtown parking ban will be in effect in the following areas:
· Government Way
· Station Street
· John Parsons Drive
· Main Street (Market to Washington)
· Washington Street
· Constitutional Way
· Market Street
· High Street (Market to Constitutional Way)
All vehicles parked on City streets will be ticketed and towed when the ban is in effect.
A winter storm watch is in effect for Somersworth from Sunday night into Monday . According to the National Weather Service, snow is expected to move across the Region late Sunday night and into Monday with a possible accumulation of 4 inches of snow before changing to rain in Somersworth.
