Full Notification

On 01-17-2022 at about midnight, SVPD Patrol Officers responded to the 2500 block of Royal Ave. for a call of an assualt in progress.  When the officers arrived they contacted a subject outside the 7 Eleven Store who sustained minor to moderate injuries to his head and hands.  The victim claimed that he was assaulted by an employee inside and that he was struck several times with a large object.  The suspect was identified as Sakthivel Muthraj, a 49 year old Simi Valley resident.  Mr. Muthraj was contacted inside the store and he was taken into custody without incident.  He was later booked at VCMJ for violation of 245 PC, 422 PC and for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
