Investigators have learned, Lakewood Sheriff’s Station received a robbery, silent alarm call for service Monday, January 17, 2022 at approximately 9:11 p.m., on the 5800 block of Bellflower Boulevard in Lakewood at a local convenience store. When deputies arrived at the location, they learned a robbery had just occurred. Two suspects, described as male Blacks between 20-25 years of age entered the location. One suspect produced a black firearm and demanded money.  The suspects took two cash registers and U.S. currency.  The suspects fled the location westbound on foot and out of view.

Later that same night, at approximately 11:40 p.m., an attempted robbery occurred at 8500 block of Alondra Boulevard in Paramount, at another local convenience store.  This attempted robbery consisted of three male Black adult suspects 20-25 years old.  Two of the three suspects had a similar physical description as in the prior robbery on Bellflower Boulevard. In this attempted robbery the suspects stood by the front door of the business while one of the suspects produced a silver firearm and pointed it at the cashier while demanding money.  The robbery was interrupted as customers walked into the business.  The suspects ran eastbound on Alondra Boulevard and out of view. No money was taken.

Approximately fifteen minutes later, a robbery occurred at 17200 block of Downey Avenue in Bellflower, at a third local convenience store.  Three suspects, described as male Black, 20-25 years old, entered the location.  One suspect produced a firearm and took U.S. currency.  The suspects exited the location and entered an older white Mercedes Benz.  The suspect vehicle was seen taking the westbound 91 freeway on-ramp and out of view.
