Temperatures are expected to remain near freezing across much of the western Carolinas and far northeast Georgia through the day. Very light precipitation in the form of snow flurries or drizzle may develop this afternoon. A dusting of snow accumulation may result. Also, any drizzle at temperatures below freezing could allow a very thin layer of ice to form on elevated surfaces. Either the snow or ice could lead roads to become slippery in spots, making for dangerous driving conditions during the
afternoon or evening commute. Drive with extra caution today.
