Fourth Update regarding Power Outage near Golden Hills

1/23 5:45am Fourth UPDATE: @sce crews have reopened the entrance to Mountain Springs Estates to pedestrian and vehicular traffic.

8:00pm Third UPDATE: SCE crews have been working nonstop in the Golden Hills area. At this time east and westbound Golden Hills is open to all traffic, however due to the extensive damage to power poles and the danger that still exists to the public, the entrance to Mountain Springs Estates remains closed until further notice. Additionally, SCE has updated the estimated restoration of power to 48 hours or greater. For power related updates please visit SCE.com or contact SCE directly.

1/22 2:50pm Second UPDATE: per SCE the crew at Golden Hills is now estimating the street to reopen to pedestrian and vehicular traffic at approximately 8pm.

1/22 12:45pm UPDATE: per SCE the crews at Golden Hills will have the street cleared in approximately 4 hours for pedestrian and vehicular traffic. They are estimating another 24 hours or greater to restore power.

The City of La Verne continues communicating with Edison.
 
While crews are working diligently to restore power, we have been informed that some areas will experience an extended waiting period.
 
Crews are currently working near Wheeler Ave. and Golden Hills and have a four hour estimate to restore power to the area.
