Press Release: Subject arrested in connection with a Stolen Motor Vehicle

ACCUSED: Quamir S. Hodges, Age 24, Montclair, NJ
NARRATIVE:
On September 29th, 2021 at approximately 3:06 pm the Borough of Deal Police Department took a report of a stolen 2016 Mercedes Benz S550 from the Deal Golf and Country Club. The vehicle was later recovered in Jersey City, NJ on December 22nd, 2021 by the New Jersey State Police Motor Vehicle Crimes North Unit. Through an extensive investigation, led by the New Jersey State Police Motor Vehicle Crimes North Unit, it was discovered the accused, Quamir S. Hodges was one of the parties responsible for the motor vehicle theft.
On January 17th, 2022 Hodges was charged by Detective Liptak for conspiracy and theft of moveable property (motor vehicle) for his role in the theft. Hodges was processed at Monmouth County Correctional Institution where he was already being detained on related charges.
The Deal Police Department would like to thank the New Jersey State Police Motor Vehicle Crimes North Unit for their assistance throughout this investigation.
