Estrada was arraigned on two Felony charges of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Unlawful Imprisonment.
DETAILS;
On January 22, 2022 at approximately 7am, the Norton Shores Police Department was called to the Pontaluna Shores Mobile Home Park at 1281 E. Pontaluna reference a Domestic Assault with a gun involved.
When officers arrived, they found that a female had been assaulted and a 34 yr old male had also threated her with a long gun. The female escaped out the door and ran to a neighboring mobile home. Officers set up a perimeter and attempted to call inside to talk with the male suspect. Officers did not receive an answer by phone, so the response turned into a barricaded gunman situation. The male suspect allegedly made threats to shoot police officers and to burn the home down.
The Muskegon County Emergency Response Team was called to assist with security at the scene and to evacuate residences near the home. An armored vehicle was used to safely escort citizens to safety.
