2-year-old Found Wandering Outside in Muscoy; Parents Arrested for Child Abuse

INCIDENT: P.C. 273A(A), Child Abuse likely to produce great bodily injury
LOCATION: 3000 Block of June Street, Muscoy
SUSPECT(S): Jaynissia Robinson, 32-year-old female and Justin Laliberte, 34-year-old male, Muscoy, CA
VICTIM(S): Confidential, 2-year-old female
SUMMARY: On January 22, 2022, at approximately 8:38 a.m., deputies from the Sheriff's Central Station responded to a call for service regarding a found child on Ogden Street and June Street in Muscoy. The victim was wearing only a diaper in cold weather conditions. Deputies located the victim's parents, Jaynissia Robinson and Justin Laliberte, asleep at a nearby residence. The residence was deemed uninhabitable for health and safety concerns. The victim had unexplained injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
At the conclusion of the investigation, deputies arrested Robinson and Laliberte. Robinson and Laliberte were booked into custody at West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga for P.C. 273A(A), Child Abuse with GBI and are being held on $100,000 bail.
