Subject: Armed Burglary
On Tuesday, January 18th, around approximately 11:00pm, two armed subjects entered a home on the City’s west side. At this point in the investigation, it appears the suspects were checking residences for unlocked doors. Upon finding an unlocked door, the suspects entered the home. No interaction took place with the residents of the home. The suspects left the scene in a vehicle.
This case is still an active investigation and investigators are following up on several leads.
The Sun Prairie Police Department urges everyone to remember to check all doors and windows before leaving your residence or going to sleep for the night. A good plan is to verify your garage door is closed, any vehicles are locked, and all doors including the garage service door are locked.
