Incident: Suspect Sought in CVS Robbery

Suspect: Unknown, Black Male Adult in his 20’s
Charges: 211 PC, Robbery (felony)
Incident Summary-
On 1/24/2022, at approximately 7:56 p.m., Petaluma police officers were dispatched to CVS Pharmacy on N. McDowell to investigate a reported robbery that had just occurred. Store employees reported that a black male adult approached the pharmacy door. He was told he was not allowed to enter the actual pharmacy. The suspect grabbed and pushed an employee out of the way as he forced his way into the pharmacy (employee area). The suspect ordered two employees to open a cash register and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. While removing the cash he ordered both employees to get down behind the counter. The suspect then ordered the employees to open a safe. He removed multiple bottles of medication from the safe and shelves. The suspect then demanded a second safe be opened. While one employee was attempting to open the second safe a third employee approached the pharmacy. The suspect left shortly thereafter.
The suspect was described as a black male adult in his 20’s, wearing a black beanie, black hoodie, and light-colored jeans.

We are aware of a similar incident that occurred on 1/21/22 in Santa Rosa. We are working with SRPD to determine if the incidents are connected.
