Wanted for Mastic Beach Leaving the Scene
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Seventh Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the person who left the scene of a motor vehicle crash that killed a dog in Mastic Beach this month.
A 7-year-old German Shepard wandered into the street in front of a residence on Spar Drive and was struck by a black sedan on January 15 at approximately 9 p.m. The car was described as dirty, with dark tinted windows and a loud muffler. A witness says the driver never stopped and made a left on Grasmere Drive. The dog died en route to the veterinarian’s office.
