8900 block Santa Monica Blvd
01/17/2022 @ 0105. A man challenged several patrons and staff members to a fight and then punched a security guard one time in the face without provocation. The victim suffered a fractured facial bone. #00277
 
Vehicle Burglary
8600 block Holloway Drive
01/17/2022 @ 1700-0730. An unknown suspect smashed the front passenger’s side window and removed a duffle bag containing headphones and shoes from the front seat. #00292
 
Vehicle Burglary
600 block Westbourne Drive
01/17/2022 @ 2100-1600. An unknown suspect punched the locks on both front doors to gain access to the interior. The suspect damaged the gear shifter inside the vehicle but did not anything. #00303

01/18/2022 @ 1237. A man gained access to the lobby of the secure apartment complex and removed unsecured packages from the mailroom. #00323

01/20/2022 @ 0546. A man broke into a lock box that was hanging on a fence behind the business and used the key to gain access to the business. The suspect removed a cash register containing $10 in coins. #00320

Aggravated Assault - Hands, Fist, Feet (Suspect Arrested)
8500 block Santa Monica Blvd
01/21/2022 @ 0900. A man was standing on the sidewalk when the suspect approached and elbowed the victim in the face without provocation. The victim fell to the ground and the suspect fled the area on foot but was located and arrested by responding deputies. The victim suffered a cut to his face that required stitches. #80072

01/21/2022 @ 1830-1120. An unknown suspect gained access to the secure sub parking garage of the apartment complex and removed sunglasses, keys, and a bank card from the glove box of the unlocked vehicle. The suspect also removed a bag from the back seat. #00358

Aggravated Assault - Other Weapon (Suspect Arrested)
1100 block N Fairfax Avenue
01/22/2022 @ 1620. A man was sleeping near the front door of the business when the victim asked him to leave so she could access the building for work. The suspect became upset and threw a glass bottle at the victim. The glass bottle missed the victim and shattered. A witness intervened to stop the attack and the suspect was arrested by responding deputies. #00361

1000 block N Kings Road
01/22/2022 @ 1915. A man and woman were walking SB on the sidewalk of Kings Road when a man approached them from behind and punched the victim on the back of his head without provocation. The victim fell to the ground but got up quickly to protect his mother and tried to walk away. The suspect then threw a hard object that struck the female victim on the back of her head and caused a cut that required stitches. The suspect was located and arrested by responding deputies. #00369

01/23/2022 @ 0000-0200. An unknown suspect removed a cell phone from the victim’s jacket pocket while inside the club. #00382

01/23/2022 @ 0630. An unknown suspect forced a dog door open and reached inside to unlock the door. The homeowner yelled at the suspect and he fled the area on foot. #00375
 
Strong Arm Robbery (Suspect Arrested)
8900 block Santa Monica Blvd
01/23/2022 @ 0300. Two men were walking WB on the sidewalk of Santa Monica Blvd when the suspect approached them and grabbed one of the men by his neck. A struggle ensued involving both victims and the suspect and property was taken from both victims. The suspect was arrested by responding deputies and the stolen property was recovered. #00374
 
Strong Arm Robbery
Melrose Avenue / Huntley Drive
01/23/2022 @ 1210. A woman was retrieving a sweater from the back seat of her vehicle when two men approached her and pushed her into the back seat of her car. One suspect punched the victim on the back of her head and demanded her watch and she complied. #00376
