Monroe DPW begins storm preparation, road treatment underway. 
While the weather forecasters are still unsure if we will get a little or a lot of snow this Saturday, our local DPW is preparing our township roadways, equipment and personnel for storm response.
Today, DPW is applying brine to the roadways to reduce the adhesion of snow and ice to road surfaces.
When it snows, please be reminded that you can assist Public Works plow efforts by removing vehicles, garbage cans and trailers from the roadway so they can safely and efficiently plow curb to curb.
Begin your home storm preparation now, locate shovels, salt, scrapers and don't forget your bread and milk! Stay warm and safe!
