How Do I Contact The Police
How do I contact the police?
We've had a few people recently say they could not get in contact with the police department. There are several ways to contact us.
1- Call 911- If it is an urgent or emergent situatuion please call 911. If for some reason the Clinton County Dispatch Center loses internet the calls will automatically be routed to another 911 center who will then dispatch us.
2- 816-539-2156: This is the non-emergency number to dispatch. If you have a non-urgent issue you can call this number to have an officer sent to you or to contact the on duty officer. This is the ONLY number that is monitored 24 hours a day.
3- 816-539-2148: This is the administrative line for the police department. It IS NOT monitored. This line is ususally only answered during normal business hours and missed calls are sent to voicemail. We follow up on messages during normal business hours.
When in dobut- Call 911- the priority of the call will be sorted out by the dispatcher and appropriate resources sent to your incident. Remember, our officers may be busy on a call and dispatch is the BEST way to make sure your concern is taken care of.
