to
Saturday, January 29, 2022
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for our area for Friday evening, January 28th to Saturday evening, January 29th.
Snow is expected to move into the area Friday evening and continue overnight into Saturday. The snow should taper off later in the day on Saturday.
Total snow accumulation for our area is currently estimated to be 5–7 inches. This storm is difficult to predict and it is possible snow totals could be more or less depending on the track.
Wind gusts are expected to be as high as 45 MPH.
Saddle Brook municipal ordinance requires all vehicles to be removed from the roadways when snow accumulation is 3 or more inches. Violators are subject to tickets and fines.
Saddle Brook municipal ordinance also prohibits snow to be shoveled or blown back onto the roadway. In addition, sidewalks must be cleared of snow and ice within 24-hours after the snow has stopped falling.
The goal of these ordinances is to keep drivers and pedestrians as safe as possible.
POWER OUTAGES: The heavier snow and wind may cause downed trees and power lines.
