Reopening of City Facilities in the City of Rosemead
Effective Tuesday, February 1, 2022, the City of Rosemead facilities will reopen to the general public due to a decrease in COVID-19 cases throughout the City.
“We strive for our community to know that we are taking every step necessary to protect the health and welfare of our staff, residents, and businesses as we reopen on February 1st,” said Mayor Polly Low. “Please remember that although we are reopening, we must continue to do our part to keep Rosemead safe.”
All community centers will be open, with scheduled activities available by advance registration only. Please click here to obtain information for our Parks and Recreation programs, or call (626) 569-2160. In addition, the Garvey Community Center will reconvene with their Senior Lunch Program beginning Monday, January 31st, at 11:00 a.m. Participants can enjoy a hot meal inside the Center’s Banquet Room with social distancing required. As a reminder, lunch fees are $1.25 for residents and $3.25 for non-residents. If you have any questions about this program, please call (626) 569-2222.
The City obtained COVID-19 rapid test kits available to residents at no cost. Residents may request a COVID-19 rapid test kit on the City’s website (while supplies last). Once the request is processed, tests will be made available for curbside pick-up at the Rosemead Community Recreation Center at 3936 Muscatel Avenue beginning Monday, January 31st. Residents may request one kit per member of their household. Applications will be available online on Friday, January 28th.
