Class II Special Officers:
The Deal Police Department is now accepting applications for the position of Class II Special Officer. Applicants are required to be a U.S. Citizen, 18 years of age or older, hold a high school diploma or its equivalent, and be a resident of New Jersey during the appointment term.

Applicants must have a good reputation and be of sound moral character, possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license, and undergo a complete background investigation.  Those selected for hiring will also need to pass a drug screening and psychological evaluation.
 
Applicants shall already be certified SLEO II officers upon submission of the application.
