Snow storm to begin this evening 1/28/22 and by early morning there may be blizzard like conditions.  Snow totals in our area are expected to be 18 inches plus.  High winds will occur with gusts of 50 mph winds early Saturday morning.  We are asking starting this evening you remain off the roads as conditions will not be safe on the roadways.  The Public Work Employees will need to be out and plowing so having unnecessary traffic will affect the safety of the employees and yourself.

If you are parked on a roadway please remove them NOW, snow is coming and you should not wait until last minute for removal of vehicles.  
§ 246-15 Removal of vehicles.
Any unoccupied vehicle parked in violation of this article shall be deemed a nuisance and a menace to the safe and proper regulation of traffic and any police officer may provide for the removal of such vehicle. The owner shall pay the reasonable costs of the removal and storage, which may result from such removal, before regaining possession of such vehicle
Under Borough Code 246 if a vehicle is parked on a snow covered roadway, you will be ticketed and may be towed.  All of which will be at your own expense.
If you need to park your vehicle somehwere you may do so at 140 East Main Street back lot or the Tuckerton food pantry lot until the roads are cleared.

So beginning tonight and continuing until Saturday afternoon... please stay home and off the roads, watch Netflix, read a book or relax with the family and let our employees and first responders to their jobs.
