South Plainfield is under a winter storm warning from 7pm this evening through 7pm Saturday night. If possible, residents are urged to stay home tonight and tomorrow. Snow is expected to begin around 7pm tonight. Heavy snow and winds are expect over night and most of Saturday morning. Total snow accumulations of 5-11 inches are possible. There is expected to be blowing snow and cold temperatures so roads will be hazardous. Ordinance 2026 prohibits parking on certain snow emergency streets.
