WEATHER
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for our area for Friday, January 28th, 7:00 PM to Saturday, January 29th at 7:00 PM.
Snow is expected to move into the area today and continue overnight into Saturday. The snow should taper off later in the day on Saturday.
Total snow accumulation for our area is currently estimated to be 4-7 inches. This storm is still difficult to predict and it is possible snow totals could be more or less depending on the track.
Wind gusts are expected to be as high as 40 MPH.
Travel will become very difficult.
Roadways will become hazardous overnight and into Saturday.
SNOW REMOVAL
Saddle Brook municipal ordinance requires all vehicles to be removed from the roadways when snow accumulation is 3 or more inches. Violators are subject to tickets and fines.
Saddle Brook municipal ordinance also prohibits snow to be shoveled or blown back onto the roadway. In addition, sidewalks must be cleared of snow and ice within 24-hours after the snow has stopped falling.
The goal of these ordinances is to keep drivers and pedestrians as safe as possible.
TRASH PICK-UP
At this time, garbage pick-up will take place on Saturday, January 29.
