SUSPECT(S): MATTHEW RETAMOZA, AGE: 29, RESIDENT OF PHEONIX, AZ

SUMMARY: On January 27, 2022, at approximately 2:55 A.M., patrons from Good Fella's called 911 regarding a man with a gun who threatened a staff member after the man was denied entry into the bar. As deputies were being dispatched, callers advised the suspect left the parking lot in a silver Ford F150.
Deputy Ciani conducted a traffic stop on an F150 matching the suspect vehicle and detained the driver, identified as Matthew Retamoza. During a search of the truck, Ciani located a loaded 9mm Glock and suspected cocaine in the center console of the vehicle.
A records check revealed Retamoza had outstanding warrants and was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, criminal threats, driving without a license and the outstanding warrants. Retamoza was booked at the West Valley Detention Center.
