Deputies Arrest Florida Resident for Cultivation of Marijuana in Chino Hills

SUSPECT(S): Derrick Robinson, 34-year-old resident of Orlando, Florida
VICTIM(S): State of California, Southern California Edison
SUMMARY: On Friday, January 28, 2022, at approximately 8:30 A.M., deputies and detectives from the Chino Hills Police/Sheriff's Station and the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Marijuana Team served a search warrant at a residence located on the 1900 block of Deer Haven Drive in Chino Hills.
During the search warrant, deputies contacted Derrick Robinson, a 34-year-old resident of Orlando, Florida and recovered over 40 pounds of processed marijuana and one firearm. During the investigation, deputies discovered Robinson was responsible for an electrical bypass, which resulted in theft of utilities. Robinson was arrested and transported to West Valley Detention Center where he was booked for theft of utilities, and marijuana cultivation.
