Subject Charged with Attempted Murder
SUBJECT: Armed Robbery Leads to Attempted Murder Charges

LOCATION: Seaview Square Mall in Ocean Township
ACCUSED: Rakai M. Nedab 19 year old male of Neptune, NJ; Azmere Wilson 20 year old male of Neptune, NJ
NARRATIVE: On January 25th, 2022 at approximately 8:30 pm officers were dispatched to Target for a report of an active fight possibly involving a knife. Upon arrival officers located the victim in the parking lot and observed that he was actively bleeding. The officers immediately rendered aid to the victim and confirmed that he had been stabbed several times. The victim told officers that he had an altercation with two subjects inside the store and one of the subjects stabbed him with a knife. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.
During the on scene investigation, detectives learned that the three subjects had a prearranged meeting to engage in a narcotics transaction at this location. Through further investigation, Detectives were able to positively identify the two suspects as Rakai M. Nedab and Azmere Wilson. Nedab was located the following day and placed under arrest. He was charged with Attempted Murder, Robbery, Conspiracy and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. He was transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institute pending an initial court appearance. A warrant was issued for Wilson charging him with Robbery, Conspiracy and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. His whereabouts are unknown at this time.
