Suspect: *Arrested* Richard Lowrey, 47-year-old, unsheltered
Incident Summary:
On Friday, January 21, 2022, PPD officers were dispatched to a robbery that had just occurred at Sally Beauty Supply on North McDowell Blvd. Officers arrived within minutes and checked the area but were unable to locate a suspect.
Detectives took over the investigation and continued to identify possible witnesses and investigative leads. Detectives identified Richard Lowrey as the suspect. It is alleged that Lowrey entered the beauty supply store and held the clerk at knife point demanding they open the cash register. Lowrey fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.
On Friday, January 28, 2022, detectives located Lowrey in the 400 block of Stony Point Road in Santa Rosa and took him into custody.
Lowrey is currently on active parole from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Lowrey was booked into Sonoma County Jail on the charges of robbery and for violating the terms of his parole.
