City of Seward Reports Four New COVID-19 Test Results Today
Seward, Alaska – Today, the City of Seward is reporting four (4) new positive COVID-19 test results for all healthcare facilities.
The following advisory information was provided by the Alaska Department of Health & Social Services (DHSS) today:
WHAT TO DO IF YOU ARE SICK
If you’re experiencing COVID symptoms, get tested as soon as possible and, if you test positive, call your health care provider.
- Stay home, except to get medical care.
- Stay in a specific room and away from other people in your home. If possible, use a separate bathroom. If you must be around others, wear a mask.
- Get plenty of rest and stay well hydrated.
- Take over-the-counter medications, such as acetaminophen (Tylenol), to reduce symptoms. For acetaminophen, the total daily dose from all products should not exceed 3,000 mg.
- Rest in the prone position (flat on your stomach) for easier breathing.
- Engage in light physical activity, such as walking, if you can comfortably tolerate it.
Monitor your symptoms, and call your healthcare provider if symptoms get worse.
