Chatsworth resident arrested after creating a disturbance on Metrolink and fighting with officers.

On 1/30/2022 at about 4:30 pm, Metrolink employees contacted the Simi Valley Police Department to report a man had entered the train in Chatsworth without paying for a ticket and was now disturbing passengers and refusing to exit the train in Simi Valley, despite being asked to do so.
Simi Valley Police arrived and contacted 35 year old Chatsworth resident, Sidney Waithe, and asked him to voluntarily exit the train.  After numerous efforts to gain Waithe's cooperation failed, officers advised Waithe he was under arrest and attempted to physically detain him.  Waithe actively resisted the officers' efforts and as a result, a small scuffle ensued.  Waithe was ultimately subdued, taken into custody and charged with the following:
- 640(c)(1) PC- Fare Evasion
-369(i) PC- Trespass on Railroad Property
-148(a)(1) PC- Resist/Obstruct/Delay an Officer
Waithe was provided medical treatment for minor injuries prior to being booked at the Ventura County Main Jail.  No officers or passengers were injured during this incident.
