Investigation into Attempted Murder Near Hwy 395 and Three Flags Still Under Investigation

DATE/TIME: January 28, 2022 / 6:56 p.m.

INCIDENT: Attempted Murder

LOCATION: US Highway 395/ Three Flags Court, Hesperia

SUSPECT(S): Unknown

VICTIM(S): Adult Male


SUMMARY: On January 28, 2022, deputies responded to the area of US Highway 395 and Three Flags Court in reference to a shooting. 

Upon deputies arrival, an adult male was located in a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. Deputies learned the victim was shot while inside of his vehicle near the intersection of Joshua Street and US Highway 395 and drove a short distance before colliding into a curb on US Highway 395 near Three Flags Court. The victim was transported to a trauma center for treatment of injuries and is currently in stable condition. 

US Highway 395 was closed in both directions while detectives collected evidence and processed the scene. This investigation is still ongoing.
