Winter Storm Kenan

Cleanup is still underway following Winter Storm #Kenan which dropped over 16” of snow in Neptune, with drifts several feet high in spots due to the blizzard conditions. Abundant sunshine today has contributed to some snow melting and temperatures in the upper 30’s and 40’s throughout the rest of the week will likely continue this trend. Public Works crews are focusing on the widening of streets throughout the Township and the hauling of large snow piles in Ocean Grove, a necessity with this amount of snow combined with the narrow Ocean Grove streets. We appreciate the patience and understanding of our residents as our crews continue to ensure the roads are safe throughout Neptune Township.

Important Tips:

∙ To aid in the snow clearing efforts, snow parking regulations remain in effect for Ocean Grove only. When the restrictions are lifted, an announcement will be made via social media and our Nixle emergency alert system. ∙ All Neptune Township residents and businesses are reminded of the sidewalk clearing ordinance, which requires owners and tenants with sidewalks on their property to clear them within 12 hours of daylight after the snowfall stops.
