Potential City Wide Parking Ban Anticipated with Winter Storm Warning. Have plans to park other than street.
With the Winter Storm that is approaching the National Weather Service has already issued a winter storm warning. At this moment we are expecting in excess of 12 inches of snow, as well as blowing and drifting snow and ice. We have not implemented, at this moment, a City Wide Parking Ban, but we do anticipate that we will either late Tuesday evening 2/1/22 or early Wednesday Morning 2/2/22. Please have a plan to move your vehicles from the street. With a City Wide Ban we will tow if necessary as well as ticket. We encourage all to seek alternate locations to park allowing our street department access to the streets to remove the snow as quickly as possible.
Also if this storm hits as predicted we ask for patience. The street department will work on the main routes first and will begin moving to secondary streets after the main routes are clear and sustained. We understand the inconvenience of a city wide ban, but are asking for patience as we work through this event.
We will continue to update as the storm approaches, but for now have a plan in place.
