Winter Weather Advisory until 12:00PM Wednesday

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches.

* WHERE...Ketchikan, Metlakatla, and communities on Prince of Wales Island including Klawock, Craig, Hydaburg, Kasaan, Hollis, and Thorne Bay.

* WHEN...From 3 PM Tuesday to noon AKST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Accumulating snow is expected for the Southern Inner Channels and Prince of Wales Island Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning. A transition to rain is expected early Wednesday morning starting along the Outer Coast first then moving northward through the day. Confidence is lower regarding the timing of the transition to rain for Ketchikan and eastern POW Island. A later or earlier transition time may greatly impact snowfall amounts.
