Full Notification

On 1/31/22, at approximately 1900 hours, SVPD Officers observed a possible Theft in Progress at the AT&T Store located at 1263 Simi Town Center Way. Officers followed the suspect as it fled in an older model Honda CRV. The vehicle failed to yield so officers initiated a pursuit. The suspect fled westbound on the 118 freeway into Moorpark, exited Princeton Ave. and then re-entered the 118 Freeway and continued eastbound. SVPD units pursued the suspects while attempting to get assistance from allied agencies. Due to the high speeds and danger to the public, the pursuit was terminated near the 118 Freeway and Balboa Ave. It was later learned that the suspect(s) stole approximately $350 worth of merchandise from the Simi Valley store, but the same suspect(s) are likely associated with additional thefts.  No suspects were apprehended at this time.
