Project Lifesaver available to help vulnerable children and adults with Alzheimer's or dementia

Project Lifesaver is a program designed to help seniors with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia and individuals affected with autism and other developmental disabilities who may wander or get lost and whose caregivers are looking for an extra layer of security.

In partnership with the Westchester County Departments of Community Mental Health and Public Safety, Project Lifesaver offers locator bracelets similar to those used with people diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease

Project Lifesaver uses registered wristband transmitters to locate wandering and lost children and young adults.

Parents and caregivers can call for information and an application or download the application here. Financial assistance may be available.

If you are looking for the Project Lifesaver application for an elderly person with dementia, please click here.
