Advisory

Anticipated Snow Emergency and Garbage Pick-up Delays

As you may be aware, the City of Belleville and SE Michigan is anticipating a major snow storm to the area. As a result several communities have already declared snow emergencies.

The City of Belleville is sending notification of pending snow emergency and possible garbage pick-up delays. At this time there has been no definitive emergency declared and we are monitoring the refuse pick-up schedule for any delays. It is highly recommended that you do not park on the street at this time since you may be required to remove vehicles when a Snow Emergency is officially declared.

You may recall, a snow emergency results in street parking of vehicles being prohibited and subject to removal by ordinance. This ordinance is to ensure safe removal of snow from the roads by DPW personnel. We will send further Nixle alerts/notifications as we evaluate the changing weather and road conditions.

Thank you and be safe,
City of Belleville
