Winter Weather Update from Republic Services
Below is an Important Winter Weather Update from Republic Services
Republic’s team has been closely monitoring the anticipated winter storm that is set to impact the region within the next 24 -48 hours.
Weather forecasters continue to refine the amounts of snow and the track of the storm and our team will continue to monitor these forecasts. At this point, the storm is too far away to predict its impact to our collection operations. Therefore, we have not made any decision to limit or suspend our collection operations at this time.
As the storm approaches, Republic’s team will be monitoring road conditions to ensure safe travel and collection for our drivers and those that we share the road with. As conditions change, we will evaluate our go/no-go options as well as develop our plan to recover households and customers that are not serviced.
We would like to remind all of our customers to please ensure that containers and materials intended for collection are free of snow and ice and can be easily seen from the street. We ask that these items are placed in a location where they do not interfere with snow removal operations and where they are not buried or covered with snow.
We also ask our customers that utilize our commercial front load container service as well as our industrial roll off service to ensure that these containers are also free of snow and ice piles that typically occur from snow removal activities. For those customers with dumpster enclosures, please make sure that all enclosure gates can be easily accessed and are fully operational.
We appreciate your assistance during this time to help Republic safely and efficiently provide collection services.
