Incident Summary-
On 1/31/2022, at approximately 1:38 a.m., a Petaluma patrol officer observed a vehicle driving recklessly on Old Redwood Hwy. The vehicle was speeding, spinning its tires, and fishtailing. A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver (and sole occupant) was identified as Justin Werth. During the investigation Werth displayed signs of alcohol intoxication. A record check revealed Werth was on active parole for 261 PC (rape). His parole terms specifically prohibited him from using or possessing a smartphone and being away from his approved residence between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. During a search of his vehicle a smartphone was located. Werth was arrested for reckless driving, DUI (both misdemeanors) and violating his parole (felony). He was booked at the Sonoma County Jail.
