On February 1st at 10:29 AM, APD officers were called to an apartment in the 2600 block of south Spring Street on a shooting. Zaedrion Amon Morgan, 26-year-old male, was suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. Zaedrion was treated but died from his injuries. Jameeka Monique Bates, 25-year-old female, was detained leaving the area and later charged with Murder. Bates was booked into the Potter County Detention Center. The incident remains under investigation by the Amarillo Police Department Homicide Unit.

On February 1st at 10:29 AM, APD officers were called to the 2600 block of south Spring Street on a shooting. One male received a life threatening gunshot wound to the upper body. Officers have detained multiple people at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
