Burr Ridge residential waste pickup is postponed by one day.  Thursday’s regular garbage collection will now be on Friday, and Friday’s collection is pushed to Saturday.  Please keep your waste receptacles away from the street until the mornings on these adjusted collection days, which will allow our plows to finish clearing snow in your neighborhood.  Download the Groot App from  www.groot.com to stay informed of scheduling changes.
 
Winter weather advisories continue, as lake effect snow will affect the Burr Ridge in the pre-dawn hours of Thursday morning and throughout the day on Thursday.  Public Works crews are working overnight to plow snow and apply road salt to the pavements.  However, many roads remain snow-covered due to the earlier heavy snowfall along with ongoing blowing and drifting snow.  Please keep parked vehicles off the roadway while our crews are operating, and please avoid shoveling, plowing or placing snow from your property onto the roadway.  Kindly assist your Burr Ridge neighbors in clearing snow from driveways, sidewalks, mailboxes, and fire hydrants.
