*UPDATE* Driver charged in car versus pedestrian incident
This is an update to the previous post regarding the “Parking issue leads to road rage, leaving one man hospitalized.”
After the initial incident, officers and investigators worked diligently on obtaining additional corroborating evidence and information related to the incident. Along with the information already received, that information was presented to the Carlton County Attorney’s Office to review the appropriate charges.
On February 3, 2022, the Carlton County Attorney’s Office charged (via summons) 38-year-old Cloquet resident Rebecca Lee Glader with seven counts related to the incident on January 14, 2022.
The counts are as follows:
1. Criminal Vehicular Operation-Substantial Bodily Harm-Driver Who Causes Collision Leaves Scene – Felony
2. Criminal Vehicular Operation-Substantial Bodily Harm-Driver Who Causes Collision Leaves Scene – Felony
3. Criminal Vehicular Operation-Substantial Bodily Harm-Driver Who Causes Collision Leaves Scene – Felony
4. Traffic Collision-Driver Fail to Stop-Injury or Death - Gross Misdemeanor
5. Traffic Collision-Failure to Notify Police of Personal Injury - Gross Misdemeanor
6. Traffic-Reckless Driving; Drives Consciously Disregarding a Substantial or Unjustifiable Risk – Misdemeanor
7. Traffic Regulation-Keep to the Right - Misdemeanor
