* WHAT...Freezing rain. Additional ice accumulations of a light glaze.

* WHERE...Portions of piedmont and western North Carolina, roughly along the Interstate-40 corridor from Marion to the Triad.

* WHEN...Until noon EST today.

* IMPACTS...Very slippery sidewalks, roads and bridges are possible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Temperatures are expected to warm above freezing across the entire area this afternoon, and precipitation will taper off.
