A TRAVEL ADVISORY (LEVEL I), ISSUED FOR WAYNE COUNTY ROADWAYS AND THE STREETS OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND AND THE TOWN OF CENTERVILLE DUE TO BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW CAUSING ICY ROADWAYS MAKING TRAVEL HAZARDOUS, WILL BE ALLOWED TO EXPIRE.
The TRAVEL ADVISORY took effect at 6:00 PM on Friday, February 4, 2022 and WILL EXPIRE today, Monday, February 7, 2022 at 12:00 PM. This Advisory applied to all roads maintained by Wayne County Highway Department and the Street Departments of City of Richmond and the Town of Centerville.  This Advisory will expire at 12:00PM today 2/7/2022.

This TRAVEL ADVISORY was issued to warn those who must travel on Wayne County roadways and City Streets to use extreme caution due to heavy snowfall amounts and blowing and drifting snow causing widespread snow covered roadways and hazardous travel conditions.
If you must drive during this winter season, remain alert and use caution as you may encounter slick patches on roads and rapidly changing road conditions.  Allow extra time to get to your destination, reduce your speed and increase the following distance from the vehicle ahead.  Avoid sudden changes in speed and apply brakes and accelerator slowly and gently.
