* WHAT...Blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
* WHERE...Portage Valley.
* WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to 9 AM AKST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of heavy snowfall and blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility to one half mile or less for extended periods of time.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates up to 2 inches per hour are possible in Portage Valley at times as a front tracks into Southcentral this evening. The event will peak early Wednesday morning, and snow is expected to end by the afternoon. While the strongest winds and highest snowfall rates are expected in Portage Valley, other parts of Prince William Sound could also see brief periods of blowing snow and reduced visibility.
