Teenager Shot and Critically Injured While Driving 
Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating a shooting that injured a teenager while he was driving in North Babylon last night.
A 17-year-old male was driving a 2007 Honda CRV eastbound in the center lane of Sunrise Highway, east of Exit 39, when he was struck in the chest by several gunshots fired at him from the passenger side of a black motor vehicle as it passed the Honda on the left at approximately 10:10 p.m.
The Honda then struck the rear of another vehicle before crashing into the center median and coming to a stop. The 17-year-old called 911 to report the incident. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. There were no other injuries.
