At approximately 3PM, the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station received reports of shots fired after a fight had taken place on the 19400 block of Stillmore Street in Canyon Country, near Sierra Vista Jr. High School. Sierra Vista Jr. High School, Canyon High School and Cedar Creek Elementary were placed on brief lockdowns while deputies cleared the area.
All lockdowns were lifted once deputies determined there was no longer a threat. At this time there is no visible evidence of shots fired during a search of the campus and nearby vicinity, nor have injuries related with shots fire been reported. The incident does not appear to be school related. The investigation remains ongoing
