Fellow Leonians:
 
As the Omicron surge wanes and the COVID-19 case numbers continue to decline, it is more important than ever that we ensure that everyone who is eligible is fully vaccinated and boosted. To that end, we are pleased to announce that we will be holding another vaccine/booster clinic on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. The clinic will be open from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Leonia Recreation Center, 370 Broad Ave. in Leonia.
 
The appointment system is now open; to register online for an appointment, simply visit https://covidvaccineleonia.youcanbook.me/. While registration is not required, it is strongly recommended, in order to avoid any prolonged wait when you get to the clinic.
 
Please note: The clinic is NOT restricted Leonia residents (so spread the word!), and no insurance is required.
 
The following vaccines/boosters will be available:

• Pfizer pediatric: Authorized for ages 5-11 (first vaccine only – boosters are not authorized)
• Pfizer regular: Authorized for those 12 years of age or older, for first vaccine dose, second vaccine dose, and/or booster doses
• Moderna: Authorized for adults 18 years of age and older, for first vaccine dose, second vaccine dose, and/or booster doses
• NOTE: Regardless of the first vaccine that you received (Pfizer, Moderna or J&J, you can (and many do) receive either a Moderna or Pfizer booster shot.

As a reminder, you are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine or booster injection at this clinic if you are;

• 5-11 years of age and have never received a COVID-19 vaccine; or;
• 18 years of age or older and have never received a COVID-19 vaccine; or;
• 12 years of age or older and received the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine five (5) months ago or longer (to receive booster); or;
• 18 years of age or older and received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine two (2) months ago or longer (to receive booster).

The best defense against contracting COVID-19 is to ensure that you and all eligible members of your family are fully vaccinated and/or have received a booster (if eligible). We hope you will consider taking part in the February 16, 2022 Borough of Leonia COVID-19 vaccine/booster clinic.
