Suspect Arrested for Child Molestation 
On February 12, 2022, 51-year-old Roy Darr from Gilroy was arrested for child molestation. Darr is a paraprofessional (instructional aide) at Christopher High School.
The juvenile victim was known to Darr and was not related to his employment. There is no information to indicate there are additional victims at this time.
Darr was subsequently booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on the charges of 289(j) PC, penetration with a foreign object, and 288.5(a) PC, continuous sexual abuse of a child.
The Gilroy Unified School District was notified of Darr’s arrest.
