Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports on 02/13/2022 at 1453 hours, his office was called to investigate a two car crash in the 53000 block of M-51 North, Silver Creek Township, Cass County, Michigan.  
Emergency personnel arrived on scene, finding that two vehicles had a head on collision into one another.  Initial investigation shows the first vehicle was driven by Cameron Chester Needham, 20 yrs of Coloma, MI. Mr. Needham was traveling northbound on M-51 North when he struck a patch of ice and lost control of the vehicle. The driver of second vehicle, Terry Dean Raab, 66 yrs of Dowagiac, MI. Mr. Raab was driving southbound, also hit a patch of ice and lost control of his vehicle, which caused both units to be involved in a head on collision. 
Mr. Raab was transported by ambulance to Lakeland Niles for non-life threatening injuries.  Seat belts worn and Airbags were used in the crash. At this time, it does not appear that Alcohol or Narcotics played a factor in the crash. Deputies were assisted by Pokagon Tribal Police Department, Dowagiac Police Department, Wayne Township Fire Department, Dowagiac Fire Department, Sister Lakes Fire Department and Pridecare. This crash remains under investigation.
