The following is a summary of criminal activity in El Cerrito. It does not include all crimes. It also does not include non-criminal events such as missing persons, traffic collisions, non-criminal deaths, non-criminal disputes, nor many other police activities that do not result in arrest.

Recovered stolen vehicle – 1000 block of Havens Place
At 4:24 pm, an officer was dispatched to a residence after the victim located their own stolen vehicle in Oakland and drove it home.  The vehicle was stolen the day prior and reported to Emeryville PD. 
February 13^th
 
Shoplifting – 430 El Cerrito Plaza
At 1:40 pm, an unknown suspect entered the store, concealed merchandise, and fled without paying. 
 
Strongarm robbery – Ohlone Greenway / Schmidt Ln.
At 2:45 pm, an unknown suspect ran up behind the victim and ripped her cell phone out of her hands while the victim was talking on it.  The suspect fled on foot.

Auto Burglary – 700 block of Kearney Street
At 0342 hours an officer was sent to the report that someone had shattered a window of a vehicle and stole property from inside approximately 10 minutes earlier.
